I, Jeny Maier, personally commit to the following:
Personal Commitment
- I will use my voice as a leader in our firm and my position among our firm’s leadership to advocate for and foster a strong DEIA culture, and convey that diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility are core institutional values.
- I will regularly partner with our Chief DEI Officer to implement recommendations on how I can lead more inclusively and provide additional support for DEIA within the firm and the profession.
- I will engage in continuous learning about DEIA by attending at least one DEIA-related conference annually and consuming relevant thought leadership throughout the year.
- I will meet with our firm’s LCLD Fellow, Pathfinders, and alumni twice annually to gain their insights about the firm’s DEI commitment and initiatives, in support of the continued growth of that commitment in our organization.
Organizational Commitment
- Our Executive Committee will work to increase the emphasis within our partner review/compensation process on partner contributions to DEIA.
- Our firm will seek to achieve its inaugural Mansfield Midsize Certification in 2024, and to pursue repeat certification in future years.
- Our firm’s leadership will encourage all employees to contribute to DEIA activities as part of good firm citizenship, with timekeepers earning up to 50 hours of billable credit annually.
- Our firm will continue to utilize assignment coordinators, bias interrupter training, and interventions as appropriate to promote equitable distribution of assignments and provision of fair, actionable feedback to associates.
- Our firm will continue to partner with affinity bars and other organizations and broadly provide opportunities for attendance at conferences that offer avenues for professional growth, networking, business development, and affirmation.
