I, Moez Kaba, personally commit to the following:


Personal Commitment

  • I promise to use my platform – as a minority managing partner at a nationally recognized law firm – to advocate for increased diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) throughout our firm, profession, and society.
  • I will dedicate time to pro bono work focusing on access to justice and social issues.
  • I will engage with clients and nonprofit or legal organizations to develop opportunities to collaborate on DEI initiatives.
  • I will lead by example, and encourage my partners, to foster an inclusive environment where all employees are welcome, and all backgrounds are celebrated.  It will be integrated into our firm culture.
  • I will meet with the LCLD’s Fellows and Pathfinders to discuss their experiences with the organization, looking for opportunities to integrate appropriate programs/activities into our culture.
  • As a founding board member of the Social Justice Legal Foundation, I will support the organization’s mission to advance civil rights and justice for all through impact litigation.
  • I will have an open-door policy and seek opportunities to listen and obtain feedback regarding our DEI initiatives or opportunities for allyship.

Organizational Commitment

  • Hueston Hennigan will propose diverse teams in client pitches and work assignments.
  • Hueston Hennigan will build and maintain strategic diversity partnerships with clients, diversity organizations, pro bono organizations, and the community.
  • Hueston Hennigan will provide pro bono opportunities, through the Social Justice Legal Foundation or other nonprofit and legal organizations, to work on important litigation addressing racial injustices.
  • Hueston Hennigan will focus on recruiting and retaining diverse attorneys.
