As a member of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD), BraunHagey & Borden LLP (BHB) is excited to offer a 1L student the opportunity to be an LCLD Scholar and join our law firm as a 2024 summer associate. 

BHB is a high stakes litigation and corporate boutique based in San Francisco and New York that works with discerning clients in bet-the-company disputes and transactional matters across the country and internationally. In addition to its commercial work, the firm invests in impact cases focused on long-term legal or policy reform and has secured significant results protecting human rights, the environment, civil liberties, privacy, and the elderly. During the summer program, LCLD scholars will have the opportunity to rotate through the firm’s three practice groups, including general litigation, impact litigation and corporate venture transactions. In addition to participating in our summer associate program, all scholars will attend the 1L LCLD Scholars Virtual Summit, which will include sessions on personality type in the workplace, law firm mechanics, and advice from LCLD attorneys.

Position Detail and Requirements

Applicants must be current first year law students who expect to complete the equivalent of two semesters of law school prior to the start of the 2024 summer program. The position is in the BHB San Francisco or New York office.

  • A cover letter explaining your interest in BHB
  • Resume
  • Law school transcript – Please apply after you have received your first-semester grades and submit an unofficial transcript or grade sheet
  • A writing sample from your 1L writing class
