The LCLD program provides 1L students with tangible work experience through private practice and in-house opportunities. Students will receive hands-on training and mentorship in both settings with intentional programming tailored to student interests.

Law Students who work with Dority and Manning, P.A. can expect to work alongside our talented team on meaningful IP projects typically focused on patent prosecution and IP litigation. Additionally, students can also expect a summer full of enjoyable events and opportunities to create lasting connections with fellow summer law clerks and the D&M team.

QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must hold an undergraduate degree in a science or technical field such as electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or related fields. Other degrees may also be accepted but must meet the minimum technical requirements as indicated on page 3 of the USPTO General Requirements.

HOW TO APPLY
Applications will be accepted from Feburary 2024 until the position is filled. Please note applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

A complete application packet must include the following items:

• Current resume.
• Unofficial or official law school transcript (if available).
• Unofficial undergraduate transcript.
• A legal or technical writing sample that has not been substantively edited by others.
• A letter of intent that includes your unique personal and professional experiences, characteristics, and abilities that will diversify the culture at Dority & Manning and the IP industry.
