Jenner & Block/Disney 1L LCLD Scholar

Jenner & Block LLP is proud to partner with Disney to support a 1L LCLD Scholar in our Los Angeles office during the summer of 2025. The 1L Scholar will split their summer between Jenner & Block’s downtown Los Angeles office and Disney’s legal offices in Burbank.

At Jenner & Block, our 1L Scholar will be participating in our Summer Program and have the opportunity to meet and work with our lawyers on a variety of projects, including in our nationally recognized and award-winning Content, Media, and Entertainment practice, and get to know the firm and office culture through social activities that are hosted throughout the summer.

At Disney, the 1L Scholar will have the opportunity to work with the Antipiracy group of The Walt Disney Company’s Legal and Global Affairs department, where the intern will be able to join the in-house legal team’s effort to combat (1) piracy of digital content worldwide (including movies, TV shows, and live broadcasts), and (2) counterfeits and other physical misuses of the Company’s copyrighted works and trademarks in markets all over the world. In particular, the 1L Scholar will work on a range of substantive intellectual property legal issues, including enforcement and related policy developments, and assist with conducting investigations, legal research, collection and preservation of evidence, and other tasks relevant to prepare enforcement matters for prosecution. Disney LGA’s 1L Scholars also have the opportunity to learn about the diverse roles in-house lawyers across Disney play, and will also meet with various legal and business colleagues who make the magic happen every day.
