Dentons Summer Associate Program

Dentons LCLD 1L Scholars will receive a paid position in our eight-week Summer Associate Program and will also be invited to participate in LCLD’s program components – the virtual summit, mock interviews, post-summit session, and LinkedIn group. The Dentons Summer Associate Program is designed with the tools you need to succeed. Our smaller class size allows for a more personalized experience. From mentorship to substantive training to opportunities to work on client matters, our program fosters your professional growth in ways that are engaging and informative. Summer Associates experience the energy, creativity and collegiality that defines life at Dentons.

Dentons 1L Scholars Award: LCLD 1L Scholars in our Chicago, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, and Louisville offices are also eligible for a Dentons 1L Scholars Award (up to $10,000). After completing a successful first eight-week summer, including receipt and acceptance of an offer to return to Dentons for a second eight-week summer, the Scholar would receive $5,000. At the completion of a successful second eight-week summer at Dentons, including receipt and acceptance of an offer to join Dentons as an entry-level associate, the Scholar would receive an additional $5,000.

Program Requirements

Prior to the start of the program, applicants should have completed one full year at an ABA-accredited law school. Otherwise, there is no typical Dentons candidate – applicants of all backgrounds are considered and encouraged to apply. We are seeking individuals who share our interest in learning and our commitment to advancing inclusiveness in the legal profession. We look for bright, hard-working people with diverse backgrounds and experiences. We want to see a strong record of academic success and extracurricular achievement. It is also important that our Summer Associates work well on a team and have the drive to take on new responsibilities.
