1L Summer Associate

Morris James is seeking highly qualified 1L law students for the 2025 Summer Program for its office in Wilmington, Delaware. The program provides exposure to a variety of practice areas.

Qualifications, Skills & Abilities Required:

Students who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply for this opportunity:

Currently enrolled as a first-year law student in good standing at an ABA-accredited law school, in the top third of their law school class, and legally eligible to work in the United States.

The Summer Associate will:

Be assigned a mentor for the duration of the program.

Receive substantive work assignments from various practice groups to develop the Associate’s skills.

Receive meaningful and constructive feedback on assignments.

Attend programs to assist in their professional development.

Participate in Firm social events and activities with Morris James Associates and Partners.

Have the opportunity to visit and work with lawyers in the Firm’s other Delaware-based offices.
