Philadelphia Community | Authentic Japanese Wagyu Tasting


You’re cordially invited to a culinary journey like no other, where each bite is a symphony of flavor and texture, curated by Chef Richard Cusack to celebrate the unparalleled richness of authentic Japanese Wagyu beef. Join LCLD 2024 Fellow and Wagyu sommelier, Nan Sato for a five-course Wagyu tasting dinner with wine pairing that promises to tantalize your taste buds and elevate your dining experience to new heights.  Throughout the evening, you will also learn fun facts and best ways to enjoy Wagyu (What does A5 mean? What is the difference between Japanese and American wagyu? Do Wagyu really drink beer and get massages? and much more).

Menu for the Evening:

1st Course
Classic beef tartar with shallots, capers and cornichons served with grilled baguette.

2nd Course
Parisian gnocchi with braised wagyu Bourgignon style- braised wagyu neck, lardons, carrot, mushrooms, pearl onions with bordelaise sauce.

3rd Course
Wild halibut fillet poached in wagyu fat accompanied with confit fingerling potatoes, broccolini and sauce meunière.

4th Course
Grilled wagyu Rib-eye with black truffle purée, roasted maitake mushroom, spring onion and garlic scapes.

5th Course
Grilled peaches brushed in wagyu tallow served with Du Bonnet Rouge custard
