GC Bootcamp | The Fundamentals of Intellectual Property
This GC Bootcamp session will cover three main topics that any GC needs to know about managing IP:
1) ensuring that intellectual property is protected and choosing the right form of protection (e.g., owning a patent versus a trade secret);
2) monetizing IP assets; and
3) navigating IP disputes as an IP owner or alleged infringer.
Within each topic, the presenters will also address key current trends, such as the implications of artificial intelligence on IP as well as provide examples based on actual IP cases to make the session more practical and interactive.
This session is CLE approved for the following states: Florida, Illinois, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin. Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York credit are available via reciprocity. Califnoria, Colorado, Georgia, Kansas, Minnesota, Ohio, and Utah are still pending.
