GC Bootcamp | Introduction to Compliance
In the current climate of heightened enforcement on jurisdictions around the world, corporate compliance is at a premium. This GC Bootcamp session will cover all aspects of corporate compliance programs, from assessing risk and tailoring programs accordingly, to establishing compliance’s roles and responsibilities within an organization.
Participants will discuss regulator expectations and best practices within five key areas of compliance: leadership, risk assessment, standards and controls, training and communication, and oversight. The session will also review several key compliance resources, including the seven elements of an effective compliance program as set out by the Office of Inspector General (OIG), guidance from the Department of Justice Evaluation of Corporate Compliance Programs, and the compliance hallmarks provided in the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) Resource Guide.
This session is CLE approved in California and New York. Covington & Burling is able to provide certificate of attendance for participants in other jurisdictions.
