GC Bootcamp | Government Investigations
Government investigations, enforcement actions, and litigation can take a variety of forms, but they all require experienced counsel to help business clients navigate these stressful and difficult situations. In many instances, how corporate counsel respond to a government investigation or subpoena will dictate what follows, including what is being investigated and how companies respond moving forward. This GC Bootcamp session will provide an overview of the current enforcement landscape; the importance of speed and efficiency when conducting internal investigations; identifying individual wrongdoers; voluntary self-disclosure; monitorships; prior misconduct; compliance programs; and other jurisdictions (e.g., UK).
