GC Bootcamp | Bankruptcy Basics

This session will equip GCs with the nuts and bolts of how to successfully navigate Chapter 11 and 7 bankruptcy proceedings. The program will focus on common bankruptcy issues that in-house counsel face as well as the components of the bankruptcy process, from pre-bankruptcy issues and negotiations to a case’s impact on the debtor, creditor, and interested parties. Highlighted topics will include: matters to consider upon filing, preference defense, the automatic stay, filing a proof of claim, the effects of a bankruptcy filing on existing agreements, and considerations for chapter 11 plans.

This presentation is CLE approved for the following states: CA, CO, FL, GA, KS, NY, TX, UT.  NJ and WI credit are available via reciprocity.  MN and IL are still pending.
